Why is a prominent politician allowed to get away with ignoring the facts and blaming the police for causing someone’s death?
Yesterday, I wrote about how Jagmeet Singh is spreading lies about the Toronto Police, falsely accusing them of the causing the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet, despite the fact that they were cleared in an investigation:

In a Tweet about the results of the investigation into the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet, Singh decided to simply lie multiple times:
“Regis Korchinski-Paquet died because of police intervention.
She needed help and her life was taken instead.
The SIU’s decision brings no justice to the family and it won’t prevent this from happening again.”

Singh is wrong on all these points.
First, Korchinksi-Paquet died because she fell off a balcony. She was not pushed by police. Police did not cause her death.
Second, to say her “life was taken,” is to assign blame to police for her death, which again, is not true.
Third, the idea that following the facts is a ‘decision,’ and to claim ‘justice’ was denied is once again to ascribe blame to police, something which simply isn’t borne out by the facts.”
SINGH SPREADS CONSPIRACY THEORIES
Jagmeet Singh is spreading conspiracy theories.
He is flat out lying.
He is trying to incite people, knowing that this kind of incitement has caused riots, violence, and even deaths.
Yet, this isn’t being condemned by the establishment press.
He isn’t being forced to retract or apologize.
It’s total hypocrisy.
It’s a double-standard.

This kind of biased treatment, where the media attacks Conservatives but lets the NDP, Liberals, and radical left get away with everything, is why Canada needs independent media to fight back. The lies and attacks from the establishment media are getting more and more extreme.
