A staff member for O’Toole has tested positive.
Conservative leader Erin O’Toole and his family are getting tested for CCP Virus.
The move comes after a member of O’Toole’s staff tested positive.
O’Toole had been travelling with that staff member.
Here’s what the party said in a statement:
“The Honourable Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and of the Official Opposition, and his family will be tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
A member of Mr. O’Toole’s staff, with whom he was travelling, has tested positive for COVID-19. While he hasn’t shown symptoms, Mr. O’Toole and his family are being tested out of an abundance of caution. Other staff who were travelling with Mr. O’Toole are also being tested and will be self-isolating.
Mr. O’Toole’s office is contacting everyone with whom he has recently met.”
Additionally, the entire Bloc Caucus is self isolating, after their leader Yves-Francois Blanchet’s spouse tested positive for CCP Virus.
Hopefully everything will turn out well for all involved.
