Hisham Saadi Charged In Bomb Hoax At Concordia University

Hoax letter threatening Muslim students was originally blamed on “Council of Conservative Citizens of Canada”

A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged for calling in a fake bomb hoax that threatened Muslim students at Concordia University.

In a strange twist, Hisham Saadi – the man charged for the threat – is reportedly of Lebanese origin.

Media had originally reported that the bomb threat was emailed from the “Council of Conservative Citizens of Canada.” However, police now believe the message was sent by Saadi.

Some believe the message may have been an attempt by Saadi to falsely blame conservatives by concocting a fake threat. It is certainly very suspicious.

Concordia University has confirmed that Saadi is a student, and said he was kicked out of a PhD program recently.

Saadi may be a dual Canadian – Lebanese citizen according to the man who subletted an apartment to him.

Saadi was ordered to take a psychological assessment. He has been charged with a terror-related hoax, mischief, and uttering threats.
