Trudeau Still Silent After UN Puts Saudi Arabia On Women’s Rights Commission

Total stupidity at the United Nations

Despite the pathetic and cowardly silence of the political elites, there is growing outrage against the United Nations after they appointed Saudi Arabia to the Women’s Rights Commission.

As I reported a few days ago, the United Nations insanely put a country with a horrific record of treating women like slaves on a commission dedicated to advancing the rights of women.

This kind of insanity and absurdity is why Canada should pull back our UN funding, and instead work with fellow democratic nations in our national self-interest.

It’s also why condemnation is growing against the UN’s decision.

UN Watch condemns Saudi appointment

Hillel Neuer of UN Watch – an organization that keeps tabs on the United Nations – condemned the appointment in very clear and strong terms.

Neuer went further in a detailed statement:

“This is a black day for women’s rights, and for all human rights. Saudi discrimination against women is gross and systematic in law and in practice. Every Saudi woman must have a male guardian who makes all critical decisions on her behalf, controlling a woman’s life from her birth until death. Saudi Arabia bans women from driving cars. Why did the U.N. choose the world’s leading promoter of gender inequality to sit on its gender equality commission?”

Woman who escaped Saudi Arabia says appointment is a “betrayal”

A Saudi woman who is a researcher in Human Rights and International law (based in Australia of course) – and whose twitter bio includes the hashtag #stopenslavingsaudiwomen – responded to a tweet from Neuer:

Betrayal is absolutely right. Saudi Arabia is being rewarded for their horrific treatment of women. That is unacceptable.

“Feminist” Trudeau remains silent

When he’s attending events with fellow elites in downtown Manhattan, Justin Trudeau loves calling himself a “feminist.”

So why has he been silent on the appointment of Saudi Arabia to the UN Women’s Rights Commission?

It’s because he has no intention of actually standing up for Women’s rights. He’s all talk, no action.

He’s a fake.

With Trudeau and the elites making their cowardice known through their silence, it is up to the rest of us to condemn the absurd UN appointment, and hold that organization accountable for their horrendous judgement.
