US Special Forces Helping Philippine Army Fight Against ISIS

United States Special Forces are helping the Philippine military retake the town of Marawi from Islamic State terrorists.

The report was confirmed by the US embassy and the Philippine military.

According to Reuters, the US does not have “boots on the ground,” but are providing “technical support.”

A US P3 Orion aircraft – designed for surveillance, was seen flying above Marawi on Friday.

The US military help comes despite heavy criticism of the United States by Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, who had seemingly expressed a willingness to move his country closer to China rather than maintain the traditional alliance with the United States.

Of course, a brutal fight against ISIS can seemingly focus the mind – hence the reason Duterte is accepting American help

Civilized world must confront ISIS threat

While the elites try to distract from the fight against terrorism by saying climate change is the biggest threat facing our world, innocent people are being butchered and entire cities are being taken over by terrorists.

Pretending the threat doesn’t exist won’t make it go away, and the world needs to start taking it seriously, or the violence will continue to spread.
