Amor Ftouhi Arrested After Flint Airport Attack

Ftouhi is accused of stabbing a police officer while shouting “Allahu Akbar”

50 year old Amor Ftouhi has been arrested after police officer Jeff Neville was stabbed in the neck and back at Bishop International Airport in Flint, Michigan.

According to the FBI, Ftouhi entered the United States from Canada on June 16th.

Ftouhi has a Canadian passport, and was born in Tunisia.

Islamist terror

Based on what we know so far, it is clear that an ideology of Islamist terrorism was behind the attack. In addition to allegedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” during the attack, Ftouhi also allegedly shouted, “You have killed people in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and we are all going to die.”

Terror investigation

As a result of Ftouhi’s alleged comments during the attack, the stabbing is being investigated as a possible act of terrorism.

Here in Canada, authorities raided Ftouhi’s apartment in Montreal looking for possible evidence.

Officer recovering

In a bit of good news, the Officer who was attacked – Jeff Neville – is out of surgery and is said to be in stable condition.

Even after he was stabbed, Neville restrained the attacker and prevented him from escaping.

Rising threat

As the pace of Islamist terror attacks increase, the only answer our leaders seem to have is to expect us to “get used to” terrorism.

That is not acceptable.

We must not get used to living under a terror threat. Instead, we must get tough and use common-sense to protect our nation and our people. Hiding from the threat of Islamist terrorism only makes it worse. Confronting it is our only option.
