One of the ‘founding fathers’ of the Hamas terrorist organization died in hospital after accidentally shooting himself.
As noted by Israel National News, “On January 9th, Fawzy Barhoum, spokesman for the Gaza-based Islamist terror group, said that Imad al-Alami, one of the movement’s most senior officials, was critically wounded when his personal firearm accidentally discharged. Al-Alami, 61, was “inspecting his personal weapon in his home and is in critical condition,” Barhoum said at the time.”
Then, “On Tuesday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem reported that Al-Alami had succumbed to his wounds, dying in Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital.”
Al-Alami was said to have significant ties to the Iranian regime, and was also reportedly close to the head of Hezbollah – Hassan Nasrallah.
Additionally, “A founding father of the Hamas terror group, al-Alami returned to the Gaza Strip in 2012, where he previously served as deputy chief of Hamas’ Political Bureau, and once chaired its “Intifada Committee”.
He also was seen as the likely replacement for the current Hamas leader.
Disturbingly, Al-Alami had received medical treatments in Turkey – which is supposed to be a NATO ally. It raises more doubts about Turkey’s true allegiances, as helping a founder of a brutal terrorist organization isn’t something a NATO country should have been doing.
All in all, dead terrorists won’t be missed by any civilized people.
