‘JIHADI JACK’ Wants Trudeau Government To Let Him Into Canada

Given how pathetically the Trudeau government has responded to radical Islamist terror, the alleged ISIS member may get his wish.

It is being reported that Jack Letts (AKA Jihadi Jack) is begging the Trudeau government to let him back into Canada.

According to CBC News, “Canadian diplomats have made contact with a British-Canadian man who allegedly joined ISIS in Syria — and who is now pleading with the government to secure his release from prison and allow him to come to Canada, CBC News has learned. Jack Letts, a British-Canadian man dubbed “Jihadi Jack” by the U.K. media, is being held by Kurdish authorities on suspicion of being a member of the extremist organization.”

CBC says they have audio recordings and transcripts of discussions between Letts and Canadian officials:

”Please get me out of this place,” Letts said in a Jan. 10 conversation with Canadian officials. “I don’t mind if you put me in prison, just get me out of here as soon as possible.” Asked if he wanted to return to his parents’ home in Oxford, U.K., Letts was unequivocal: “I want to come to Canada.”

That already shows how Canada is perceived by alleged ISIS fighters. Even though he has citizenship in both Canada and the UK, and even though his family is in the UK, he wants to come here. You can bet that’s in large part because of Trudeau’s weakness.

No transparency from Trudeau government

The Trudeau government is refusing to tell the country whether they are planning to let ‘Jihadi Jack’ into Canada – something that the vast majority of Canadians would clearly oppose.

“Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, on her way to testify before a Commons committee Thursday afternoon, would not comment on the case. A spokesperson for her department would only say the minister is aware of Letts’ case.”

However, a disturbing detail is shared later in the report. Apparently, the lawyer for the Letts family “said there’s been no ambiguity in his conversations with officials and the only hurdle appears to be the logistical challenges involved in getting him out of Syria.”

Additionally, the report notes that a “Speaking by phone earlier this month, a Canadian consular official assured Letts that Canada is “working to resolve” his plight, according to text transcripts obtained by CBC News. That verbal assurance was followed by a letter sent to his parents just days ago. In it, the federal government’s director of consular case management said the government is “making every effort to assist” him. “We have been in communication with Kurdish representatives to that end and continue our efforts,” Kirill Kagner wrote on Jan. 29.”

The report points out that the Liberals repealed the Conservative legislation that could strip citizenship from suspected terrorists. The Trudeau Liberals also generated outrage through their widely-hated plan to “reintegrate” returning ISIS fighters.

Yet, from what we’ve read above, it seems the Trudeau government is working to make it possible to bring ‘Jihadi Jack’ back into Canada, showing that they put their pathetic “a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian” virtue signalling ahead of common sense.

We saw that same disgraceful attitude when the Trudeau government gave Omar Khadr $10.5 million without even making him fight in court for the money, yet betrayed our Veterans by fighting them in court for their benefits.

It’s an attitude of disloyalty and disrespect to our country, and it shows total weakness in the face of the threat of radical Islamist terrorism.

Disgusting.
