Doug Ford Rips Liberal & NDP Job-Killing Policies, Pledges To Bring Back Good Jobs To Ontario

“With The Liberals, Your Neighbour Loses Their Job. With The NDP, You Lose Yours,” says Ford.

Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford says he will help Ontario be “open for business,” and bring back good jobs to the province.

“Under Kathleen Wynne, good jobs aren’t being created, at least not in Ontario,” said Ford. “Today, Buffalo and Niagara are bragging about all the jobs they’re taking from us, because of Kathleen Wynne’s high hydro rates, high taxes, and red tape.”

Ford says he will create a good business environment for everyone, rather than government “picking winners and losers.”

“We’re going to put up a big sign on the border that says ‘Ontario is open for Business’. Instead of picking winners and losers, we are going to lower business taxes for everyone. We are going to stabilize business hydro costs for everyone. We are going to cut red tape for everyone.”

Ford also visited workers earlier in the day:

“Met some hardworking people today at Welded Tubes in Welland. Under Kathleen Wynne, the cost of doing business has risen and the NDP’s plan only adds more red tape. The PCs will create an environment that helps businesses operate & grow. Ontario will be open for business.”

With Ontario and Canada’s competitiveness falling like a stone, Ford pointed out how the province is losing jobs to the US:

“There’s an alarm going off in this province. Every few days we hear it: a factory is closing, a car parts plant is being built in Michigan instead of here, a greenhouse is going to Ohio, where hydro costs are half as much as in Ontario. I hear this alarm loud and clear. But Kathleen Wynne keeps hitting snooze.”

Ford then ripped the anti-business, anti-jobs approach of the Liberals and NDP:

“Do you want to know the difference between the Liberals and the NDP. With the Liberals, your neighbour loses their job. With the NDP, you lose yours. We are going to bring those good jobs back home.”

That’s pretty accurate, considering that both the Liberals and NDP are pushing the job-destroying carbon tax and have the same big-government approach that is crushing the economy. Only the PCs pledge to scrap the carbon tax.
