“While the Liberals have no plan, Conservatives will get pipelines built so that our men and women can get back to work,” says Scheer.
In Question Period, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer contrasted the Conservatives ability to get pipelines approved with Justin Trudeau’s failed record.
When it came to the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion, Scheer said “they bought it without building it, we’ll build it without having to buy it.”
Scheer also said the Liberals should “invite Energy East back to the table” if they really want to develop Canada’s energy sector.
The Energy East pipeline was cancelled after the Liberals arbitrarily changed the regulatory process mid-way through to make it far tougher to get pipelines approved.
Scheer said the carbon tax also needed to be scrapped, and Bill C-69 (which will make pipeline approvals nearly impossible) needed to be stopped.
You can watch Scheer’s comments in the video below:
What total nonsense from Justin Trudeau. You see, Trudeau buys a pipeline without building it, but we build pipelines without having to buy them.

It’s important to note that the Conservative pipeline record is far better than the Liberals. The previous Conservative government got 4 major pipelines approved, while Trudeau’s time in office has seen things go in the opposite direction.
