Deficits To Worsen

Budget still not balancing itself.

In a ‘revelation’ that will surprise nobody, it turns out the budget isn’t balancing itself.

In fact, the deficits are getting even worse than the government predicted.

According to the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the budget deficit will be “between $500 million and $2.8 billion bigger than the government’s predictions. It anticipates deficits of $21.3 billion in 2019-20, $17.4 billion in 2020-21 and $14.8 billion in 2021-22.”

That’s a far cry from a budget that was supposed to be balanced in 2019.

It’s one of many broken promises from Trudeau, among which is the ‘revenue neutral’ carbon tax that isn’t revenue neutral at all.

Trudeau’s time in office has been one lie after another. This isn’t the first, and it won’t be the last.

Those numbers aren’t just a rounding error over the trudeau/morneau projected deficits. They are a result of disrespect for Canadian taxpayers. An honest and competent Conservative government would have easily avoided the ‘made at home’ recession that is coming. Liberal voters are accountable for the mess and must educate themselves before repeating history. There will be no balanced budget by this Government…ever.

Tax and spend is the socialist way and Trudeau’s government is doing a good job of following classical socialist government practices. Of course, their own money is somehow sheltered. What it ends up doing is having shared misery for all.

Budget deficits are just an indication that Canadian society has a false standard of living. The government is taking genuine wealth from a lender and using it to make the present standard of living in Canada look better than it is. We will all pay a price for this in the future with a lower credit rating and hence higher borrowing costs to finance these deficits. But here’s the skunk in the woodpile: what will they look like once we have a HUGE recession/depression coming our way probably starting in 2019 with all that extra social spending that inevitably occurs.… Read more »

Elections Canada will be instructed to give a ballot to anyone wearing shoes or sandals. All Justin’s new friends will have footware…probably provided at the Lacolle border crossing by M-13 gang members, former ISIS fighters and….perhaps the RCMP CONCIERGE team.
