Open Society Foundations attacks Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
The Open Society Foundations – a Soros-controlled group that intervenes around the world including trying to destroy support for the Canadian Oil Sands – is slamming Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
The attack on Sandberg came in an open letter, in which Patrick Gaspard – the President of the Open Society Foundations – slammed Facebook, saying “It’s been disappointing to see how you have failed to monitor hate and misinformation on Facebook’s platform. To now learn that you are active in promoting these distortions is beyond the pale.”
Gaspard was responding to reports alleging Facebook had sought to cast Soros as one of the individuals behind a backlash against Facebook.
However, it’s odd that Gaspard would be complaining, since Soros’ position on Facebook is well known. He even called it a ‘menace,’ and his investment fund sold out of their position in Facebook in Q3.
Gaspard continued the attack, saying “These efforts appear to have been part of a deliberate strategy to distract from the very real accountability problems your company continues to grapple with. This is not about George Soros or the foundations. Your methods threaten the very values underpinning our democracy.”
Of course, it is about Soros.
Soros is an opponent of free speech, and wants to see centralized governments control the flow of information. While Facebook is imperfect, it is far better at protecting free speech than governments are. The fact that Soros is attacking Sandberg and attacking Facebook just goes to show why Facebook and other social media networks will always be a better alternative than government control of information.
If Soros is against Facebook, then Facebook must be doing something right.
