Turbulence Injures 35 People On Air Canada Flight

The flight was heading to Sydney.

Dozens of people have been injured following severe turbulence on Air Canada flight AC033.

The flight was travelling from Vancouver to Sydney, when it encountered severe turbulence west of Hawaii, according to CTV news.

As a result, the plane diverted to Daniel K. Inouye Airport in Honolulu.

The Boeing 777 was carrying 269 passengers, along with 15 crew members.

According to aviation analyst Phyl Durdey, “When the plane hits unexpected turbulence “(people) hit the overhead bins and that’s why you see so many people with neck injuries (and) head injuries because those people weren’t wearing their seatbelts.”’

And that’s what happened unfortunately, with some passengers suffering head and neck injuries.
