“If self-praise created jobs, then we wouldn’t have so many people out of work,” says Conservative Finance Critic.
Conservative Finance Critic Pierre Poilievre ripped into Justin Trudeau during Question Period.
Poilievre slammed Trudeau’s ‘self-praise,’ pointing out that if “self-praise created jobs,” Canada wouldn’t have lost over 70,000 jobs last month.
Following Trudeau’s response, Poilievre raised the rhetorical stakes, telling Trudeau to “stop making rhetorical love to himself,” a remark which drew laughs and surprised looks from Poilievre’s Conservative colleagues.
