FAIL: Jagmeet Singh Slams US Airstrike, Gets Country Wrong

Singh attacks US “action in Iran,” even though the airstrike took place in Iraq.

Jagmeet Singh tried weighing in on the US airstrike that took out terrorist general Qassam Soleimani.

It didn’t go well:

“The US’ actions in Iran have brought us closer to another disastrous war in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister needs to act quickly with other countries to de-escalate the situation and not be drawn into the path that President Trump is taking.”

First of all, Singh attacked the US, rather than offering support to our close ally who took out someone who orchestrated repeated attacks.

Second, Singh couldn’t even get the country right.

The airstrike took place in Iraq, not Iran.

@Lumberist on Twitter summed things up well:

“Very happy you aren’t our PM. You seem like a nice guy but that’s about it.

It was a terrorist leader killed in Iraq by the way…”

As I said on Twitter, Singh’s statement is incredibly dumb:

“Incredibly dumb statement. First, the airstrike took place in Iraq, not Iran.

Second, where were Singh’s Tweets when Iran was constantly orchestrating attacks on our American allies?

Why only criticize our close ally while refusing to condemn Iran?

Pathetic.”
