VIDEO: Man At Toronto Protest Demands Removal Of Statue Of History’s Greatest Anti-Fascist Winston Churchill. (Isn’t That A Pro-Fascist Demand?)

The insanity is spreading.

Fascist Germany was on the march.

Democracies and free nations were falling one by one.

America had not yet entered the war.

The island of Britain, alongside logistical support from allies like Canada, stood almost alone against the fascist hordes.

It seemed hopeless.

Some even pushed for surrender.

Yet, in that dark moment, Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill stood firm.

The United Kingdom would “NEVER SURRENDER” said Churchill, and would fight on against fascism no matter the cost.

In the air, the German fascist war machine suffered it’s first clear defeat, failing to defeat the Royal Air Force and being forced to scrap their plans for an invasion of the British Isles.

Churchill’s strength and Britain’s resolve showed that the fascists could be defeated, that they weren’t invincible.

And this inspired further support for Britain from the US, first in terms of greater and greater supplies, and then, following Pearl Harbor, direct military intervention.

The Allies came together, pushed back the tide of fascism, and ensured the survival of democracy.

None of this would have happened without Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill.

Was Churchill perfect?

Of course not, no leader is perfect, and very few leaders look great by the standards of today.

But we judge people by the standard of their time, by what they did with the power and influence they had.

And what Churchill did was rally his People and the world to stand against the most vicious and brutal fascist regime the world had ever seen.

Had the German fascists won, hundreds of millions of people would have been killed, with genocide spreading across all of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Russia.

People of all colours would have been butchered on an industrial scale, with the Fascist Holocaust against the Jews being the beginning of the murder of an immense percentage of humanity.

In short, Winston Churchill saved hundreds of millions of lives, and was the greatest anti-fascist in history.

And then, after the war, when Churchill was defeated in a general election, he respected democracy and stepped aside for his successor (though he was re-elected years later), showing that not only would he fight for democracy, he would accept democracy’s verdict even when he disagreed.

So, with all of that in mind, the clip below is pure insanity:

Considering that Churchill was the greatest anti-Fascist in history, doesn’t removing his statue seem like a pro-fascist demand?

Perhaps.

Whatever it is, we must reject this insanity.

Our history, the history of the Western world, and Canada’s heritage must be remembered and preserved, both the good, the bad, and the in-between.

We cannot allow this radical extremist cultural revolution to wipe out our nation.
