Nobody believes that people are actually changing their minds, they are simply terrified of offending the Woke Inquisition.
Not long after saying there is not systemic discrimination in the RCMP, RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki has reversed herself, saying “I did not say definitively that systemic racism exists in the RCMP. I should have.”
The reversal comes after Trudeau contradicted here, and other foolish politicians like Elizabeth May called the entire RCMP racist.
Of course, since it is already illegal to discriminate by race in Canadian institutions, there is in fact no systemically embedded racism. Rather, there are individuals who act in a racist way, which is an entirely different situation.
But saying the truth these days is to commit the thoughtcrime of wrongthink, and in Orwellian fashion people are quickly reversing their opinions in the hope of avoiding career destruction at the hands of the Woke Inquisition.
