Former Liberal MP Raj Grewal Charged With Fraud & Breach Of Trust

RCMP alleges the former Liberal MP used his political position to solicit millions of dollars in personal loans without telling the ethics commissioner.

Raj Grewal, the former Liberal MP for Brampton East, has been charged with fraud & breach of trust.

According to the RCMP, Grewal used his political position to solicit millions of dollars of personal loans, and neglected to tell the Ethics Commissioner about it.

Additionally, it is alleged that Grewal used taxpayer-funded constituency office money for personal benefit.

Grewal was first elected in 2015, and left the Liberal Caucus in 2018. He did not run for re-election.

The riding was won again by the Liberals in 2019, though their margin declined slightly.

Thank you Spencer for reporting this. I’m happy to see the RCMP doing their job and investigating these liberal schills. Keep up the good work and investigate all of the liberals, especially justin.

I’m seeing a trend here. Having either a criminal record or having criminal inclinations is apparently a prerequisite for becoming a Liberal MP.

Just another Librano living up to their nickname.
