The latest in ruthless tactics from the Communist State, showing that China is more and more an enemy of Canada.
China is now moving beyond just being an ‘opponent’ of Canada, and is now fully turning into an enemy of our nation.
Cong Peiwu, China’s ambassador to Canada, said that the decision to grant refugee status to Hong Kong democracy activists could ‘jeopardize’ the “health and safety” of the 300,000 Canadian Citizens living in Hong Kong.
Here is the full quote:
“If the Canadian side really cares about the stability and the prosperity in Hong Kong, and really cares about the good health and safety of those 300,000 Canadian passport holders in Hong Kong and the large number of Canadian companies operating in Hong Kong . . . you should support those efforts to fight violent crimes.”
Peiwu was asked if this was a threat.
His response was, “that is your interpretation.”
Clearly, this is a veiled threat.
It would have been easy for Peiwu to say it wasn’t a threat.
Instead, he left it vague, which is the entire point of threats.
China is now openly threatening 300,000 Canadian Citizens.
That’s not how an ally or even a ‘competitor’ acts.
Lots of nations compete economically without threatening the lives of each others Citizens.
China has already acted horribly towards Canadians by kidnapping the two Michaels, and this latest threat only confirms that China views Canada as an enemy, and that Canadians must fully wake up to this dangerous reality:
“At this point, we must be honest and call this what it is: China is an enemy of Canada and our allies. An enemy. Any Canadian companies or politicians that seek closer ties with China must deemed to be aiding and abetting an enemy of Canada, and punished accordingly.”
