Conservative motion fails as Trudeau & Singh continue to revel in their authoritarian power and push vindictive anti-science policies.
The Liberal-NDP Coalition has voted against ending travel bans on unvaccinated Canadians.
A Conservative Motion put forth by MP Melissa Lantsman was defeated with 117 votes in favour, and 202 against.
This was the text of the Motion:
“That, given that,
(i) Canadians are currently experiencing unacceptable wait times at Canadian airports, even though airports are still operating at reduced capacity,
(ii) current restrictions have been cited by experts as ineffective and contributing to additional delays, costs, and confusion, as well as acute labour shortages,
(iii) Canada’s international allies have moved to lift COVID-19 restrictions at airports and other points of entry,
(iv) Canada is losing business and economic opportunities,
the House call on the government to immediately revert to pre-pandemic rules and service levels for travel.”
The Liberals & NDP both voted against it:

All the motion was asking for was a return to what had been in place prior to the pandemic.
This would have brought us in line with most of our allies, and most nations in the world, who have moved on from draconian restrictions and have lifted travel bans on unvaccinated Canadians.
Singh & Trudeau revel in their authoritarian power
It is beyond clear that both Justin Trudeau & Jagmeet Singh are revelling in their authoritarian power. They enjoy the ability to restrict the freedoms of millions of Canadians.
There is also an ego-based aspect to all of this, as both Singh & Trudeau have faced protests by pro-freedom Canadians, and rather than listen to their concerns, Trudeau & Singh are using state power to vindictively punish those who are unvaccinated.
Anti-Science
Trudeau & Singh are also taking a blatantly anti-science position.
Most countries have – often on the recommendation of top health officials – lifted travel bans and draconian measures at airports.
There is a clear understanding in much of the world that ‘zero-covid’ is untenable, and that life must return to normal as much as possible.
This leaves Canada as an authoritarian, anti-science outlier in the world:

Canadians continue to see that the Liberal-NDP Coalition isn’t content with just damaging Canada’s economy, but are determined to make our nation less and less free as well.
