WATCH: Trudeau Laying Groundwork For Extending Vindictive Travel Bans Into Fall

The Liberal government remains unwilling to move on as much of the world has done.

Justin Trudeau is now laying the groundwork for an extension of the draconian and vindictive travel bans into the fall.

When asked about the mounting criticism of travel restrictions that are vindictive, unscientific, and damaging to the economy, this is what Trudeau said:

“Will Justin Trudeau listen to tourism groups and lift travel restrictions on the unvaccinated? Of course not.

“We are are still at risk, particularly at risk as fall approaches, of new variants.””

Trudeau is using the exact same rhetoric that’s been used for the past two years, and is acting as if nothing has changed.

He’s still using fear-based wording, talking about “risk” and “new variants,” and skipping completely over the months of summer to project possible danger in the fall.

Unwilling to give up power

As many people – including myself – have long warned, governments do not like to give up power once they acquire it.

Power used for a ‘temporary emergency’ is often extended and made permanent.

After all, the income tax was only supposed to be a temporary measure during World War 1.

Yet it’s still around.

And so, with the government having massively expanded their power during the pandemic – imposing severe restrictions on our rights and freedoms – it’s no surprise that someone like Justin Trudeau doesn’t want to give up that powers.

That said, much of the rest of the world has moved on from the pandemic, and has lifted travel restrictions.

The fact that Trudeau refuses to do so, even as his divisive policies further corrode the nation and the economic damage piles up, demonstrates how obsessed he is with controlling and restricting Canadians.

Taking cues from China

From the beginning, much of Canada’s pandemic response was modelled on what China was doing.

And now, Canada and China remain outliers in terms of the refusal to move on and lift government measures.

While China is in a league of their own in terms of draconian lockdowns, Trudeau is clearly taking his cues from the Communist State in terms of exploiting fear to expand state power.

Even as the Liberal government has somewhat woken up and distanced Canada from China – and with some backbench Liberal MPs likely uncomfortable with the ongoing draconian actions – Trudeau continues to act more like an authoritarian and undemocratic ruler rather than someone who respects freedom and listens to the people.

With the support of his coalition accomplice Jagmeet Singh, Justin Trudeau continues to take away the rights of millions of Canadians and shows no sign of changing course – no matter how little evidence there is to justify his actions.
