Massive Membership Numbers Show How Pierre Poilievre Has Revitalized The Conservative Party

Charest wants to leech off the success of Poilievre’s campaign.

The Conservative Party unveiled their final leadership membership numbers, and they are stunning:

“The Conservative Party of Canada has released the final voters list to leadership campaigns, with 678,708 eligible party members who will be selecting the next party leader. This makes the Conservative Party the largest party in Canadian history by membership.”

Considering that Canada has typically been a nation of low political engagement, and that engagement has been trending lower and lower over time, this is a huge accomplishment.

And, while the CPC as a whole will attempt to take credit, most of the credit goes to the Poilievre campaign.

About half of those membership sales were by the Poilievre campaign alone, demonstrating that his candidacy has played an outsize role in revitalizing the CPC.

But of course, that success has also drawn those who want to take advantage of it.

Charest attempts to leech off the power of Poilievre’s campaign

In pushing for another debate – after ballots were already mailed out – the Charest campaign is trying to leech off what the Poilievre campaign accomplished.

Unable to share a message that resonated with Conservatives, the Charest campaign is reduced to trying to get the chance to contact Poilievre’s sign-ups and launch attacks on Poilievre during party-sanctioned events.

It’s an ironic extension of Charest’s Trudeau-style worldview, as the Charest campaign wants to benefit from success they had no role in generating. We see the same with our ‘from makers to takers’ economy under the Liberals.

Indeed, the fact that Poilievre so extensively added to the membership of the CPC even as he was under relentless attack from the Charest/Trudeau/Singh Establishment Media is a testament to the power of his campaign, and to the fact that more and more Canadians are realizing that our nation must completely repudiate Trudeau’s Neo-Communist agenda.

Charest campaign going down ugly

Unfortunately, the Charest campaign appears hell-bent on doing as much damage to the CPC as they can while refusing to accept that Poilievre has far more appeal to Conservatives.

The Charest camp is launching more and more aggressive attacks as voting day nears, and they will certainly use the upcoming debate – which is shaping up to be a pointless farce without Poilievre & Leslyn Lewis attending – to launch unhinged Trudeau-style attacks on the CPC frontrunner.

It would be a real shame if this damaged the momentum of the CPC’s huge membership haul, as that would only end up helping Trudeau.

But of course, the establishment would be happy with either Charest or Trudeau in power, and are terrified of Poilievre because Poilievre ‘dares’ to represent pro-freedom Canadians. They will say and do everything to try and stop him.

So, while Poilievre has revitalized the CPC, even after he wins the leadership of the party there will be a tough fight ahead to ensure that the corrupt establishment fails in their effort to keep Trudeau in power.
