WATCH: Poilievre Slams Hypocrisy Of Remaining Vaccine Mandates

“The government admits it’s safe for an unvaccinated person to get on an airplane, but unsafe for them to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces,” said Poilievre.

With the Liberal government planning not to renew cabinet orders that imposed vaccine mandates and border restrictions – thus meaning those restrictions will go away – some restrictions are still slated to remain in place.

For example, members of the Canadian military are still subjected to a vaccine mandate, a move that is both disrespectful to those in uniform, and strategically foolish because now is the worst possible time for any policy that shrinks our armed forces.

As today is Military Family Appreciation Day, it is fitting to ask why those mandates remain in place.

And that’s exactly what CPC Leader Pierre Poilievre recently did in the House of Commons:

“The government admits it’s safe for an unvaccinated person to get on an airplane, but unsafe for them to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.”

Pierre Poilievre points out the inconsistency of remaining vaccination requirements.”

We must keep up the pressure

With the Liberal government planning to let the draconian restrictions end, some may be tempted to simply move on.

However, the Trudeau government has shown that they will exploit every possible opportunity to expand their power at the expense of our freedoms.

So, the pressure must be kept up.

We have to be strong and vigilant, and always be watchful.

It was pressure from a growing number of Canadian Citizens – and the pressure of Pierre Poilievre’s popularity – that led the Liberals to plan to end most of the restrictions, and that’s the kind of pressure that must remain in place to prevent the government from backsliding.
