Danielle Smith Has Nothing To Apologize For

It is an objective fact that unvaccinated people faced massive state-sponsored discrimination.

Going after the ‘gatekeepers’ has been a key part of Pierre Poilievre’s effort to appeal to Canadians.

Poilievre refers to gatekeepers in an economic sense, as people who are holding our country back from the levels of production and prosperity we are capable of.

But there are also other gatekeepers that seek to keep this country locked into an attitude of passivity and submissiveness.

They gatekeep what people can say and think, and they have perfected their ‘craft.’

After new Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said unvaccinated people faced the most discrimination of any group she has seen in her lifetime, the opinion gatekeepers came out of the woodwork to denounce her remarks.

She was predictably attacked as a ‘racist’ and all the other insults the left loves to throw at people in an attempt to get them to back down.

The fact is, Danielle Smith is correct. It is abundantly clear that unvaccinated Canadians faced the most direct and relentless state-sponsored discrimination of any group in recent Canadian history.

Unvaccinated Canadians were banned from travel, often banned from workplaces, banned from seeing their families, and more. The politicians who imposed those policies knew they were wrong, as evidenced by Justin Trudeau previously speaking out against vaccine mandates before imposing them when he feared losing an election.

So, Smith really has nothing to apologize for.

Now, since we live in such an attention-deficit-world, most overblown ‘scandals’ are survivable by simply waiting a day or two.

There is always a new outrage or story for people to focus on.

But in that one or two day period, the psychological pressure can be immense. When all the opinion gatekeepers are going after someone, that person – even when they are in a position of power – just wants it all to ‘go away.’

And so, Danielle Smith issued a statement to ‘clarify’ her remarks.

It’s understandable that Smith doesn’t want to get off to a divisive start, but this will only further incentivize the opinion gatekeepers to try and push other Conservative politicians to back down.

They also managed to push Smith to buy into the narrative of treating people as members of minority groups rather than emphasizing individuals, which is unfortunate.

We already saw this with the ‘hidden tag’ ‘scandal’, and the establishment press is now pushing for Pierre Poilievre to support Liberal legislation on ‘online harms’ (AKA state censorship).

Only by resisting the pressure, and only be refusing to go along with the narrative can Conservative politicians ensure that they aren’t constantly put on the defensive.

Remember, since the establishment press is increasingly funded by the Liberal government, and since so many of the opinion gatekeepers are either directly or indirectly reliant upon government funding, they will always find a ‘scandal’ or line of attack against whichever Conservative politician they choose to target.

They want to keep Canadians focused on being obsessed with relentless political correctness, rather than focusing on the actual problems that we face.
