The Liberals are doubling-down on the same inflationary policies that are robbing Canadians of our hard-earned money.
Following the Liberal economic update unveiled by finance minister Chrystia Freeland, CPC Leader Pierre Poilievre slammed the Liberals for refusing to reverse their inflationary policies.
The Liberals once again increased spending, and have refused to cancel their plan to triple the carbon tax.
With the same inflationary policies thus remaining in place, Canadians will continue to watch the value of our money evaporate.
In Parliament, Poilievre made it clear the Conservatives will be voting against it what he called the “inflationary scheme”:
“Conservatives will stand for the common people, their paycheques, their homes, their savings, and we will vote against this inflationary scheme,” said Poilievre.
You can watch his full response below:
Poilievre and the Conservatives are making it perfectly clear that they are against all tax increases, and have an ongoing campaign to that effect:
“At a time of 40-year high inflation, many Canadians are struggling to get by. There are people in this country that are just hanging on by a thread.
The Liberals’ response? New taxes on your paycheque, gas, home heating, and groceries coming in as soon as January 1.
Conservatives know the last thing people need is higher taxes when life is getting more expensive under this government.
Pierre Poilievre and our Conservative team will fight back against all Liberal tax hikes on workers and seniors.”
The battleground over the next election is being set. The Liberals are going to keep expanding the size and role of government, and the Conservatives are going to oppose all tax hikes.
The choice between a party pushing for ever-bigger government and a party pushing for limited government will make the next election of the most consequential our country has seen in a very long time.
