100 million barrels of oil used every day to “heat, fuel, feed people,” says Jamie Dimon.
While many at the WEF conference in Davos are using their platforms to push extreme anti-energy and anti-capitalist schemes, there are a few voices of rationality.
One such voice is JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon.
Speaking to CNBC, Dimon noted that oil & gas is not only essential today, but will be used for quite a long time into the future.
He also warned that if climate zealots get their way and shut down the oil & gas sector, there will be a calamity and a global depression:
“J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon makes clear that oil and gas will be needed for *at least* the next 50+ years, saying attempts by ESG activists to turn off the spigot now would lead to calamity and a global depression:”

The new end-times cult
Across various societies and at different times, numerous ‘end-times’ cults tend to spring up.
Convinced the world is about to end, they claim to have some sort of select knowledge that will either ‘save everyone’ or allow a select few to make through.
What unites all of those cults is a near-obsession with death, suffering, and the most pessimistic possible view of the future, combined with a total lack of faith in human ingenuity. There is also a disdain for the modern world, and a desire to go back to some sort of idealized primitive past.
Today, much of what we call the ‘green’ movement has fallen into that kind of cult-mindset, believing the end of the world is nigh and demanding the complete destruction of what makes advanced industrialized economies possible.
Those pushing that cult-like agenda have cleverly co-opted the widely-popular idea of conservation, twisting into a reshaping of our entire society rather than protecting spaces for the natural environment.
The fact is that Dimon is 100% correct. It would be a massive calamity and a global depression if we ended the oil & gas sector.
It’s long-past time for the climate zealots to be put on the defensive and be fully seen as the radicals they are.
