Jagmeet Singh Rips Liberals For “Rigging The System” For “Corporate Insiders” As He Props Up The Liberal Government

Does he think nobody sees the hypocrisy?

As I reported in a recent column, Jagmeet Singh’s public image has declined significantly.

Singh’s net approval is now even, with positive impressions having declined significantly and negative impressions rising.

A big reason for this is the ongoing absurdity and hypocrisy of Singh’s statements.

Singh and the NDP have a Pact with the Liberals, keeping the Liberals in power until 2025.

The NDP regularly votes with the Liberals in committees to block oversight, and consistently votes for Liberal legislation.

Singh has turned the NDP into an extension of the Liberals, as the party keeps Trudeau in power and reduces the level of accountability he faces.

Yet, Singh still keeps saying stuff like this:

“When Conservatives are in power, they hand out money through contracts to their rich insider friends.

Then when the Liberals are government, they do the exact same thing.

The system is rigged — and Canadians deserve better.”

Singh claims the “system is rigged,” yet he’s keeping the Liberals in power.

It logically follows then that he is part of the rigged system.

The fact that Singh still keeps ignoring that basic reality is one of the strangest things we’ve seen in Canadian politics.

He seems to think that nobody is able to make a connection between his deal with the Liberals and his effort to pretend he’s opposing them.

But his weakening public image demonstrates that Canadians do indeed see it.

Singh made a big political bet on Canadian voters being ignorant, but it turns out he’s the ignorant one.
