Is There Any Limit To What Jagmeet Singh Will Let Trudeau Get Away With?

Many Canadians would certainly like to know.

Every day brings new information regarding China’s interference in Canada’s democratic institutions to help elect the Liberals.

The latest is a bombshell report indicating CSIS wanted Justin Trudeau to rescind the nomination of a Liberal candidate due to concerns China interfered in his favour:

CSIS Asked Trudeau’s Staff To Rescind Candidate’s Nomination Over China Election Interference Concerns – Global News Report

As more and more details emerge – and as Trudeau does everything possible to stop a full investigation from taking place – it becomes obvious that he has something to hide.

With that in mind, it’s not only Trudeau who has serious questions to answer.

Canadians deserve to know whether there is anything that would actually cause Jagmeet Singh to rescind the Liberal-NDP Pact.

What will it take?

Will clear evidence of a CCP plot to keep Trudeau in power be enough?

Will Trudeau’s complicity in that plot (if that is discovered to be the case), be enough?

Will Trudeau attempting to stop an investigation of the plot be enough?

Where is the ‘red-line’ that Trudeau can’t cross before Singh stops propping him up in Parliament?

The problem here is that the more Singh lets Trudeau get away with, the more Trudeau gets away with.

If Singh continues to demonstrate that he’ll put up with anything, then Trudeau has no incentive to change his approach.

The Liberals can just keep trying to dismiss the gravity of the China interference scandal, and they can continue to block any meaningful effort at investigation.

This will have a corrosive effect on our democracy, and will further erode remaining trust in our core institutions.

Jagmeet Singh may think his Pact with the Liberals is about making Parliament work, but it’s looking more and more like an assault on responsible government and Canadian democracy.
