Liberal MP Mark Gerretsen is openly mocking NDP Leader (and Liberal-NDP Pact member) Jagmeet Singh.
Replying to an article which stated Singh may make a public inquiry into election interference a necessity for maintaining the Pact, In a Tweet, Gerretsen joked that he would “love to play poker with that guy”:
“I’m not saying he might not eventually get what he wants, but I would love to play poker with this guy.”

While many have wondered why Singh backs up the Liberals while getting little in return, it’s odd to see a Liberal MP openly mocking someone who the Liberals need in order to stay in power.
This may speak to Gerretsen’s own lack of strategic wisdom, or it could be a broader sign that the Liberals are becoming increasingly arrogant and disrespectful even towards their erstwhile allies.
