Orwellian CBC Headline Claims Liberals Are “Taming” Deficit Even As It Increases

“Ignorance is strength.”

As CBC continues to shred their credibility and show they are nothing more than state-controlled media, their reporting on the recent federal is drawing some negative attention.

In a headline reminiscent of ‘1984,’ CBC is claiming the Liberals are ‘taming’ the budget deficit even as the deficit increases:

CBC Headline 1

Let’s read that again:

“Budget 2023 offers billions for dental care, plus spending cuts and tax hikes to tame deficit”

Huh?

How is the government taming the deficit when they’ve increased spending by tens of billions of dollars?

Now, CBC knows exactly what they’re doing here. They know a majority of people scanning social media or looking at a website homepage will just look at the article and move on without even reading the story. So, by claiming the Liberals are ‘taming’ the deficit, CBC leaves that impression in the minds of millions of Canadians.

CBC is also trying to destroy Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, hoping to defeat her pro-freedom, pro oil & gas agenda and elect the socialist NDP in her place:

“It’s amazing how hard CBC is working to try and take down pro-freedom, pro-oil & gas Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, while simultaneously doing everything they can to cover for Trudeau amid the China Communist election interference scandal. CBC doesn’t work for you. DEFUND!”

Yes, CBC must be defunded

As if all of this wasn’t evidence enough that CBC needs to be defunded, consider how they are running interference for Trudeau when it comes to election interference by Communist China.

As noted by Adam Zivo in the National Post, CBC is giving coverage and credence to those who claim the election interference scandal is about ‘racism’:

“To this effect, the CBC recently spotlighted a letter signed by “a group of academics” (in reality: nine people) which argues that Canada’s attempts to investigate China’s meddling are racist and counterproductive.

The CBC has since cited this letter in at least two other videos that push the racism angle — including one exchange where a reporter used the letter to rebut a security expert who said that Beijing was using false allegations of racism to prevent an interference investigation.

No other major publication has touched this story and it’s not hard to understand why — the letter was spearheaded by professor John Price of the University of Victoria, who is notorious for dismissing concerns about China’s crimes, including genocide against the Uyghurs.”

So, CBC is trying to make Canadians view the budget positively with false narratives, trying to defeat Danielle Smith, and pushing Beijing/Trudeau’s line on election interference.

The fact that we are forced to pay for this is a disgrace. If CBC wants to prop up Trudeau, they should do it as a private company that survives or fails based on merit, not by forcing unwilling taxpayers to give them our hard-earned money.
