Arrogance and deflection from a ‘leader’ who is completely unwilling and unable to relate to the challenges facing Canadians.
The Trudeau Foundation just keeps popping into the news.
When it’s not a story about China’s efforts to infiltrate and influence Canadian democracy, it’s a good old fashioned Trudeau ethical scandal.
It seems Trudeau took a nice luxury vacation in Jamaica at a time when more and more Canadians are being forced to cut back because of Trudeau’s disastrous economic policies.
But he didn’t stay at any usual resort.
No, he stayed at a resort owned by a Trudeau Foundation donor. And neither the Ethics Commissioner nor the Trudeau PMO are willing to say whether or not he actually paid, or whether it was all paid for him.
It’s an interesting question, because a stay at the villa doesn’t come cheap for paying customers:
“Want to live the high life like Justin Trudeau in one of these Jamaican villas? Just find yourself some wealthy, powerful friends at the Trudeau Foundation like he did, instead of paying $9,300 CAD/night, or $65,000 CAD per week!”

Reports indicate that even some Liberals are disturbed by Trudeau’s vacation, likely being aware of how horrendous the optics are for the PM to live it up due to his Trudeau Foundation connections at a time when the economy is getting worse and worse.
And when given a chance to simply say whether or not he paid for the vacation in Question Period, Trudeau repeatedly refused to answer and tried to deflect:
I asked Justin Trudeau four times how much he paid to stay on the beach with his Trudeau Foundation buddies.
I got 0 answers.
While Canadians struggle to put food on the table, Trudeau is answering for the second time in as many months why he stayed at a place that costs more… pic.twitter.com/r8uo0SceEM

As with basically every instance where Trudeau deflects, it’s because the truth would be disastrous. Just like his entire approach to the China interference scandal, where he refuses to call an inquiry and is hiding behind David Johnston.
Clearly, Trudeau doesn’t want to admit what happened, not because he feels any sense of responsibility, but because he doesn’t believe Canadians have any right to know the truth.
He thinks he’s above all of us, he thinks he’s above accountability, and he thinks he gets to apply the rules to us, not to them. It’s the same reason he thinks he should be able to benefit from China’s interference. He thinks it’s all about him, not the well-being of our nation.
Clearly, Canada won’t get back on track until Trudeau is out of office.
