Trudeau has once again been caught attempting to deceive Canadians.
Another day, another Trudeau-lie exposed.
Justin Trudeau has repeatedly said he has no involvement in the Trudeau Foundation, either “directly” or “indirectly.”
Trudeau says it’s been a decade since he was involved in any capacity.
The Liberal governmetn has said there is a ‘wall’ between the government and the Trudeau Foundation.
Turns out, that wall appears to be pretty thin.
According a new report from La Presse, there was a “close link” that was maintained between the Trudeau PMO and the Trudeau Foundation.
Here is an excerpt (translated from French to English):
“But documents obtained by La Presse under the Access to Information Act indicate that a close link was maintained between the Prime Minister’s office and the foundation after Justin Trudeau came to power.
Indeed, these documents show that the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation organized, in April 2016, six months after the Liberals’ victory, a round table on the links between pluralism, diversity and economic prosperity with the assistance of the Bureau du Conseil private sector, the Prime Minister’s Department, on the fourth floor of the Langevin Building. This building is located on Wellington Street in Ottawa, just in front of Parliament Hill, and it also houses the office of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
This round table brought together, in addition to the President and CEO of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, Morris Rosenberg, the deputy ministers of five different departments – the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Heritage, the Department of Innovation , of Science and Industry, the Ministry of Employment and Social Development and the Ministry of Immigration -, indicate the documents obtained by La Presse.”
And it gets worse:
“Two Federal Undersecretaries from the Privy Council Office also attended the 90-minute meeting, which began at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 in room 415 on the fourth floor – a room that is sometimes used by the Prime Minister’s office.
One of the deputy ministers present, Ian Shugart (Employment and Social Development), became three years later, in 2019, the Clerk of the Privy Council – the big boss of the public service who provides the link between the Prime Minister’s office minister and his cabinet and the various ministries. Mr. Shugart held this key position until he was appointed to the Senate by Justin Trudeau last October.”
Are we really expected to believe Justin Trudeau had nothing to do with any of this, and knew nothing about this despite it all happening right outside his office?
There’s simply no way that many high-level government officials could hold a meeting with a Foundation bearing the same name as the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister wouldn’t know about it, especially given that the meeting took place so close to where he works.
This continues the pattern of the Liberals saying whatever they think will get them out of trouble in the moment, only to get in more trouble when their lying is exposed.
And everything about the Trudeau Liberal response to the China interference scandal gives the impression that they are absolutely desperate to avoid the truth being told.
They are lying about things that are easily revealed and then act surprised when their lies collapse.
Along with this dishonesty is the arrogance. Trudeau himself may really think there’s nothing wrong with his government having close links to the Trudeau Foundation, because he sees himself and his cronies as the ‘rightful’ rulers of the nation and think Canadians are supposed to work for him, rather than the other way around.
But what Trudeau thinks doesn’t really matter. He can believe that the country is supposed to serve him, but that doesn’t make it true.
Justin Trudeau should be held politically accountable for his actions, just as all Canadians are held accountable in our own line of work. With our economy getting worse, our democracy under siege, dysfunction everywhere, and rising levels of division, it’s clear that Justin Trudeau and his enablers have to go.
