A Very Dangerous Mindset Lurks Behind A Reporter’s Absurd Stance On Crime

Blaming every problem on society while absolving criminals of their individual responsibility is a deeply anti-life way of thinking, and it is proving to be incredibly destructive.

We are being buried by the “compassion” of collectivists.

‘Compassion’ for the worst of the worst.

‘Compassion’ for criminals.

‘Compassion’ for those who inflict pain on innocent, law-abiding individuals.

This so-called ‘compassion’ poses as a life-enhancing mindset, yet it is actually deeply anti-life.

It elevates those who do wrong above those who do right.

It leads not only to coddling criminals, but to punishing virtuous individuals.

It makes everyone responsible for a negative action, except for the individual who actually committed the act.

Meanwhile, it makes virtuous acts into negatives, as successful individuals are attacked for being successful, and are assumed to have somehow taken advantage of others to achieve success.

At our core, we can sense and understand that this collectivist ‘compassion’ mindset is deeply flawed, and has turned our world upside down.

With that in mind, I encourage you to take a look at this clip of a reporter questioning Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on the issue of crime:

Notice how the reporter pins all the blame on society. The reporter seems to think that an individual committing repeated crimes is somehow your fault, and my fault, and of all of our faults. Except for the person who actually committed the crime.

It’s easy to dismiss the reporter as a fool, and that may be correct. But behind that foolishness is the dangerous anti-life collectivist mindset I mentioned above, a mindset that is held by the Liberal & NDP, much of the media, and even large swathes of our country.

This collectivist compassion cannot possibly build a strong nation, because it is set up in direct antithesis to the possibility of strong individuals. How can a country have strong (including the strong in virtues like pushing through suffering and challenges without becoming criminals) individuals if the strong are suppressed, if they’re blamed for the actions of criminals, and those of weak virtue (criminals who prey on the innocent), are elevated and given repeated chances to reoffend? The only possible outcome of that kind thinking is a society that becomes more and more dangerous and more and more broken.

Personal responsibility must return to a position of dominance

Collectivist compassion now dominates our society. It has often gone completely unchallenged. We will thus continue to see more and more crime and societal breakdown, until that mindset is replaced.

And replaced it must be. We cannot continue to allow our society to deteriorate and decline. Personal responsibility must return to a position of dominance. We must hold people accountable for their actions. We must punish criminals. We must keep criminals in prison and off the streets.

And we must relentlessly push back against those who try to impose insane collectivist compassion on us. Their destructive mindset must be called out and opposed. It’s time we started to uplift those who are actually worthy of respect, rather than bowing down to the worst among us.
