The Conservative convention comes at a time when the party has significant momentum, with a massive lead in both opinion polls and party fundraising.
With survey after survey showing Canadians increasingly turning against the Trudeau Liberals and looking at the Conservatives as the party of change, Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives entered their convention with significant momentum.
The party leads in the polls by a large margin, and they are dominating in terms of fundraising. Poilievre has proven to be an effective communicator, managing to link high-level economic and monetary concepts with the day-to-day experiences of Canadians while remaining in line with basic conservative. It’s not easy to do, but Poilievre has managed it, as his rising personal favourability numbers, lead in the polls, and the evident desperation of the Liberals attest.
Today, Poilievre delivered his keynote speech at the CPC convention, which you can watch below:
The convention has been well managed so far, with solid visual presentation and a professional image of the party being put forth. And as you likely noticed in the video above, both Anaida Poilievre and Pierre Poilievre are among the best communicators the party has had in a very long time, which bodes well for their ability to build on their current strong momentum.
