CARBON TAX HYPOCRITES: Liberals Side With Separatists & Double Down On Dividing Canadians

The damage to our nation continues to pile up.

The Trudeau Liberals took a day off from working with the socialist NDP and instead joined with the separatist Bloc to vote against a motion calling for an expansion of the carbon tax exemption on home heating oil that the Liberals had targeted to win votes in Atlantic Canada.

The motion was simple: It called for the carbon tax pause on home heating oil to be extend across the country to all forms of home heating.

The motion – which was brought forth by the Conservatives and which the NDP also supported – was defeated, as the Liberals and the separatist Bloc voted against it:

Following the vote, Poilievre ripped the Liberals and the Separatists:

Quebec is already exempt from the carbon tax, so they chose to deny that same break to other Canadians. Further, all the Liberal Atlantic Canada MPs – having secured a break for their own regions – denied that to the rest of the country.

Even worse, Liberal MPs across Canada chose to explicitly allow a special break that mostly benefits Atlantic Canada, while forcing their own struggling constituents to keep paying the carbon tax on home heating as winter approaches.

“Winter is coming. It’s freezing cold in Canada.

The Liberals and the Bloc just voted to maintain the carbon tax on home heating for 97% of Canadians.

They’d rather double down on their failed plan than admit defeat and give you tax relief.

It’s disgusting.”

The Liberals are even showing open contempt:

This of course raises the very simple question of why anyone should vote for those MPs again, given their refusal to stand up for their own constituents at a time when the cost-of-living and high taxes are crushing people?

Doubling-down on division

With all indications showing the Liberals are on the path to defeat, Justin Trudeau is making it clear that he will do as much damage as he can to Canada before his time in office is finished. The Liberals aren’t even trying to hide the fact that they’re dividing Canadians, as they pit one region against another and purposefully inflame regional divides.

By putting his own short-term political desperation above the good of the nation, Justin Trudeau continues to demonstrate why he is such a pathetic excuse for a ‘leader’.
