Lots of big talk from the Liberals & NDP on the ‘rules based international order,’ but concrete action is once again lacking.
Justin Trudeau is always there for a photo-op.
He’s always there to take the credit.
He’s always there to get attention.
But when it comes to putting nice words and promises into action, when it comes to the actual hard work of governing and addressing the cold realities of the world in which we live, the Liberals are all too often absent.
And so, despite all their tough talk regarding Canada’s support for Ukraine, the Liberals & NDP both voted AGAINST a Conservative motion that would have made it easier for Canada to export munitions to Ukraine as it fights for its life against Putin’s illegal invasion:
“BREAKING: The Liberal-NDP government just voted against our motion to increase munition exports to Ukraine (by expanding the scope of Bill C-57).”

The Liberal lack of seriousness and common sense here is no surprise. Not only are they refusing to support a simple measure that could make it easier for Canada to support Ukraine – which would also benefit our military industry and help create good jobs for Canadians – they are refusing to label the Iran-controlled Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization.
Even as the world sees the connections between Russia, Iran, and Hamas, the Liberals refuse to take action.
And the NDP is too busy either tacitly promoting a Hamas-style narrative and pushing dangerously naive pacifism to wake up to the fact that this is a dangerous world.
And so, it seems that a return to sane foreign and domestic policy in Canada will only happen once the Liberal-NDP Pact is crushed at the polls.
