The media demands that you give them your money whether you want to consume their content or not. The arrogance is astounding, and the press seems unaware of how much this has turned Canadians against them.
It’s a truly remarkable coincidence!
It just so happens that a few days after the Liberals announced a huge expansion to their media bailout, the press has turned on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre with reckless abandon.
The change in their rhetoric – which was already very anti-Conservative & pro-Liberal/NDP – has escalated dramatically.
It shows how easily the press has been bought off in this country, and it’s a massive danger to this country because the free press is supposed to be a pillar of holding the government accountable, but it has instead turned into a tool of Trudeau’s government propaganda apparatus.
Do as I say, not as I do
Now, you’ll notice that there is a huge similarity between the attitude of the establishment press and the attitude of the Liberal government.
They both believe in the idea of “do as I say, not as I do.”
The press thinks they should be able to say whatever they want about Poilievre, but that the moment he responds and pushes back they are all of a sudden the victims.
It’s a pathetic display, and it only goes to show how the media now views their job as keeping Trudeau in power rather than speaking the truth.
And so, it’s no surprise to see the CBC ‘At Issue’ panel – on a network funded by tax dollars forcibly taken from Canadians without us having a choice – whining pathetically about Poilievre being a ‘bully.’
When asked about @PierrePoilievre's confrontation with a Canadian Press reporter, Toronto Star columnist and CBC panellist Chantal Hebert calls Poilievre an “intellectual bully." pic.twitter.com/7ZGihCdNzW

Watching the media fall in line behind Trudeau even more this week following the expansion of the bailout is another stark reminder of why we need independent media now more than ever before.
