Chrystia Freeland Says The Government’s “Economic Plan Is Working.” Canada’s Per Capita GDP Has Declined In Five Consecutive Quarters

What would the plan not working look like?

In her fiscal update speech, Chrystia Freeland said the following:

“We have more work to do, Mr. Speaker—but our economic plan is working.”

Such a statement implies that the economic plan is doing what most Canadians expect a successful plan to do: Increase the prosperity of Canadians.

And yet, Freeland, Trudeau, and the Liberal-NDP government are ‘achieving’ the opposite.

Canadians are getting poorer and poorer.

In fact, per capita GDP has declined in five consecutive quarters, and per capita GDP is now below where it was in 2018:

Furthermore, income per household has fallen below pre-pandemic levels:

If Chrystia Freeland and the Liberals think this is what a plan working looks like, just imagine what it would look like if it wasn’t working.

Ironically, Freeland is actually right in a way – but not the way she wants most Canadians to understand.

The Liberal plan is indeed to make Canadians poorer to cut our energy usage, in order to fulfill their eco-socialist radical vision. It’s the same vision that entails crushing the energy sector, attempting to strangle Alberta – while still taking Alberta’s money and giving it to the ‘equalization’ program – and imposing an ever-increasing carbon tax that robs us of our tax dollars. So, in that way it is indeed ‘working’ for the Liberals, just not for Canadians.

The Liberal agenda was never about helping Canadians, rather it was always about cutting our standard of living and convincing us to go along with it.
