For all who value freedom, technological advancement, and human flourishing, standing with Israel is the only choice.
One of the best ways to consider the merits of a cause or a government is to think of what that group would do with total power.
Would they be able to build a strong and flourishing civilization where people are free?
Or would they destroy whatever remnants of civilization they inherited and impose a backwards, barbaric, and oppressive way of life?
When looked at through that lens, it’s clear that standing with Israel means standing with civilization.
Just look at the contrast between the pro-Israel and the anti-Israel protests.
The pro-Israel events here in Canada have featured a mix of Canadian flags and Israeli flags. They have been calm. They have been quiet. They have been orderly. They have been positive, focused on supporting Israel, rather than directing hate towards others. When you looked at the pro-Israel events, you could see that a great civilization could be built from the participants.
By contrast, the anti-Israel protests have been full of hate, they’ve been extremely loud, disorderly, violent, full of threats and calls for genocide. Looking at those protests, you could see that any great civilization given over to the participants would quickly be degraded and ultimately destroyed.
And this is the case in the Middle East as well. Israel managed to build an advanced and powerful first-world nation despite possessing almost no natural resources and despite being surrounded by enemies.
The Palestinians – particularly in Gaza – have had massive amounts of foreign aid given to them for decades, yet spent much of that money and much of their time on building weapons to try and destroy Israel, inculcated hate into generations of their youth, and failed to build the foundations of a flourishing civilization.
In Gaza, Hamas even ripped up much of the water infrastructure left behind by Israel, and used it for rockets, and then complained about water shortages after launching their horrific war against Israel on October 7th.
With all of this in mind, we must move beyond political correctness and realize that our nation and our way of life is under attack from within.
The same hostile forces that are trying to destroy Israel also want to destroy Canada, because those hostile forces are anti-freedom, anti-Western, and anti-Civilization.
The fact is that not every culture is equal, and some cultures are completely incompatible with the West. In order to save our civilization, we must acknowledge that unfortunate truth, and we must stand with those – like Israel – who represent the civilized world.
