Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau is turning Canada into a ‘safe-haven’ for antisemites who hate the Western world.
In many ways, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is already acting like the Prime Minister.
At a time when Canada should be showing moral leadership in standing with the Jewish community and supporting Israel in the face of virulent anti-Semitism around the world, Justin Trudeau has been a portrait in cowardice.
Trudeau has flip-flopped, alternately trying to appease the many anti-Western anti-Semites in the Liberal Caucus, while also trying to avoid having the Liberals tagged as a Hamas-appeasing party by doing just enough to avoid going full-Hamas like the NDP has.
But trying to ‘both-sides’ a battle between Israel – a democratic nation – and Hamas – a genocidal terror group – means giving in to evil.
Thus, Trudeau has let the country down.
By contrast, Pierre Poilievre has shown the kind of leadership Canada needs in this dark moment in the world.
And now, he’s been recognized for it by UN Watch – an organization that has long been fighting against the UN’s shift towards terrorist and dictator appeasement.
UN Watch presented Poilievre with the 2024 Moral Courage Award:
“Today at the Canadian Parliament: Hillel Neuer presented UN Watch’s 2024 Moral Courage Award to Pierre Poilievre, Canada’s Leader of the Opposition. The prize paid tribute to the Conservative Party leader’s “moral courage and principled leadership in the defence of freedom, democracy and human dignity, and in steadfastly combating terrorism, hatred and antisemitism.” With Deputy Leader Melissa Lantsman and MP Shuvaloy Majumdar.”

The contrast between Poilievre’s courage and Justin Trudeau’s cowardice couldn’t be clearer.
