Why Are The Liberals Trying To Discredit NSICOP?

Disturbing possibilities.

The Liberal government continues to act in a manner indicating they are terrified of Canadians finding out which MPs acted on behalf of hostile foreign states.

To start with, they steadfastly refuse to list the names, effectively declaring that Canadians have no right to know this information.

And now, they appear to be hedging against the possibility of the names being released by others, and are trying to discredit NSICOP itself:

The Liberals are trying to ‘pre-suade’ Canadians by framing NSICOP as unreliable. This would then enable the government to claim that the release of the names (if someone else released them), was meaningless.

Now, the Liberals wouldn’t be doing this if the list was just filled with the names of political opponents. If that were the case, Trudeau would already have revealed the list himself.

They are doing this because they fear the names will show significant complicity by the Liberals in siding with hostile regimes. And it sure seems they are worried the Prime Minister’s name itself is on the list, or that he knew about disloyalty within the government and chose to do nothing because he was poised to benefit politically.

The more the Liberals try to make it seem there’s nothing to see here, the worse it all looks.
