After many years of Iranian-Canadians and the Conservative Party demanding it, the Liberals have finally decided to list the Iran-controlled Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
Strangely however, instead of simply announcing the move had taken effect immediately, the Liberals leaked the plan to the CBC – giving Iranian agents time to react in advance of the listing.
“Not only is this 6 years late, it’s highly irresponsible for the Trudeau gov’t to allow this leak.
It gives the Iranian regime a heads up, allowing it to evade the IRGC’s listing by transferring assets – both financial & human – out of Canada.”

Still, the right move late is better than the right move never.

Yet it remains insane that the Liberals always have to be dragged kicking and screaming into doing the bare-minimum when it comes to national security. Why are they always so reluctant to protect this country?
