Jagmeet Singh Community Noted Again After Pretending He Hasn’t Been Keeping Trudeau In Power Since 2022

Why does he keep doing this?

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh may have an anti-growth economic agenda, but he’s creating work in at least one area:

Community notes on Twitter (X).

Singh has had falsehoods repeatedly corrected on the platform, as he has sought to deceive people about his record and his policies.

Much of that deception revolves around his attempt to act as if he opposes the Liberal government even as he is the sole reason the Liberals are still in power.

In early 2022, Jagmeet Singh and Justin Trudeau signed a confidence and supply agreement that would last until 2025 and ensure the Liberals did not have to fear an early election.

In effect, Singh gave the Liberals a de facto majority government.

And at crucial moments, Singh has kept the Liberals in power and run interference on key Parliamentary committees to stymie true accountability.

Yet, Singh still thinks he can act as if he is opposing the Liberals.

He tried it again a few days ago, and was promptly hit with a community note:

The fact that Singh and the NDP keep trying this move – pretending to oppose Trudeau while keeping him in power – indicates they really have no idea what they’re doing.

The NDP is stuck with the consequences of tying themselves to Justin Trudeau’s brand at the exact moment it started a precipitous decline, and every attempt they make to deceive Canadians about this only serves to highlight the foolishness of that decision.
