Horseshoe theory remains undefeated.
Candance Owens was once a relatively well-respected centre-right figure.
Then, she started going down the ‘just asking questions route’ and ended up embracing the kind of insane anti-Semitism that unites the radical far-left and far-right fringe.
And now, Tucker Carlson is doing the same, leading to widespread denunciation by centre-right figures:
He's neither the best nor the most honest. He's a contrarian moral cretin who has turned his contrarianism into Nazi apologetics. https://t.co/7wds3bcZK0

Here's one of Darryl Cooper's gems via @TuckerCarlson: "They [Nazi Germany] launched a war where they were completely unprepared for millions and millions of prisoners of war… and they just threw these people into camps and millions of people ended up dead."
"ended up dead"!!! https://t.co/ZkqGLiSKdk pic.twitter.com/Vz4evqMEfW

If you think the mustache dude wanted peace and it was Churchill who broadened the war past Poland, you might be an absolute idiot.
I have no idea how Tucker finds this stuff fascinating. It’s a boring rehash of the same n*zi crap that’s been spread for decades. https://t.co/6s3afE6fjZ

Let’s be clear here. Who you choose to speak with says a lot about what you believe. Tucker Carlson could choose many different kinds of guests, yet he repeatedly chooses guests who are pro-authoritarian, anti-democracy, anti-West, anti-Ukraine, and pro-Russia.
And now – just like Candace Owens – Carlson is ‘just asking questions’ by talking to people who seem unusually interested in rehabilitating the reputation of genocidal fascists and demonizing democratic nations.
This is the horseshoe theory in action. In their attempts to undermine NATO, and platform anti-democratic, pro-fascist anti-Semitism, the far-left and far-right are functionally indistinguishable from each other.
In the face of the rise of far-left and far-right extremism, the common-sense centre-left and centre-right must hold the line in defence of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. No true pro-freedom Conservative should want anything to do with Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and others of their ilk.
