Truly horrendous numbers for the PM.
According to Research Co., Justin Trudeau now holds a massive ‘lead’ in a category he would probably prefer to be trailing in.
When asked to pick the worst PM in recent history, 38% of Canadians said Justin Trudeau was the worst.
Trudeau is far ahead of the second-place finisher on that question – former Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Just 14% picked Harper as the worst.
For those who would claim this is just ‘recency bias,’ just 10% pick Justin Trudeau as the best Prime Minister in history, while 16% pick Stephen Harper.
If this was just a matter of opinion on Trudeau being ‘polarized,’ you would expect the positive number to be much higher. But there isn’t much polarization here. Instead, Trudeau has fewer and fewer strong supporters, while the number of Canadians who view him negatively has surged.
And while the Liberals have been doing everything they can to try and catch up in the polls, the number of Canadians who say Trudeau is the worst PM of all time has increased from 30% last year to 38% this year.
Canadians are fed up with the Trudeau era.
