Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed said the quiet part out loud.
From the start, the Liberals have claimed that taxpayer-funded media subsidies aren’t meant to dictate coverage.
But now, with the Liberals under relentless pressure amid disastrous polling numbers, they seem to be changing their tune.
Reacting to a National Post columnist who criticized the government, Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed tacitly admitted he expects the media subsidies to influence what media outlets say:
Your paper wouldn't be in business were it not for the subsidies that the government that you hate put in place – the same subsidies your Trump – adjacent foreign hedge fund owners gladly take to pay your salary. https://t.co/PHc7ixU1XK

Noormohmaed said the quiet part out loud and admitted what the media subsidies are really about.
