It’s a convenient thing for a party to say when all the polls show they’re going to lose.
Most polls show the Liberals on track for a devastating defeat in the next election.
Some polls indicate they could even fall to fourth place in the seat count.
Their own national campaign director bailed.
Some Liberal MPs are admitting their constituents want Trudeau out of office.
But according to Melanie Joly, Canadians don’t want elections:

This is certainly a convenient thing for Melanie Joly to say, as the Liberals have a real interest in avoiding an election for as long as possible. But all indications are that Canadians want to go to the polls and want to boot the Liberals out.
