Liberal MPs once again showed a lack of courage and submitted to the Trudeau Cult
The Liberal Rebellion has been crushed, at least for now.
Emerging from the Liberal Caucus meeting, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau exuded confidence and proclaimed his party “strong and united.”
Many other Liberal MPs emerged from the Caucus meeting calling for the party to turn it’s fire outward against the Conservatives, rather than inward towards the party leadership.
And so, Justin Trudeau appears to have successfully quelled internal dissent and will remain Liberal leader and Prime Minister.
The collapse of the anti-Trudeau movement within the Liberal Party is a sad reminder of how far the Liberal Party has fallen.
The Liberals are now little more than a personality cult centred around a deeply unpopular Prime Minister, with Liberals willing to continue to back Trudeau no matter how much damage is done to the country.
It’s also a sad parallel with the Republican Party in the United States, a party that has been hollowed out and is now nothing more than a Trump Cult – as evidenced by many cowardly officials continuing to make excuses for Trump even as scores of people who worked for him raise the alarm about his praise of fascist dictators, disdain for the United States Military, and desire to rule as a dictator.
Life in North America will be much improved when we can fully move beyond the ‘Tru’ cults that hold sway in Canada and the U.S.
