The NDP could be closing in on a majority by the narrowest of margins.
Things are looking a little better for the B.C. NDP today, and a little worse for the B.C. Conservatives.
The NDP has expanded their leads in some of their closest-held seats, and are catching up in a seat where the Conservatives lead, potentially putting them within reach of the smallest possible majority in the B.C. legislature.
The NDP lead in Juan de Fuca-Malahat is now 106 votes, up from 20.
In Surrey City Centre, the NDP lead is now 178 votes, up from 93.
And in Surrey-Guildford, the NDP trails the Conservatives by just 12 votes, a significantly smaller margin than where it was previously (103 votes).
If the NDP flips Surrey-Guildford, that would give them 47 seats, and push the Conservatives down to 44, rather than the current 46-45 margin.
This would give the NDP the narrowest possible majority.
Still, with more votes to be counted, the election remains too close to call at this point.
