“This is isn’t the first time Justin Trudeau has promoted these types of views” says the CPC Leader. A Liberal cabinet minister has also joined in the criticism of Trudeau’s move to appoint Amira Elghawaby.
A few days ago, the Liberals announced the appointment of Amira Elghawaby to a government role.
Here’s how the government described the move:
“The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the appointment of Amira Elghawaby as Canada’s first Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia.
Ms. Elghawaby is an award-winning journalist and human rights advocate. A founding board member of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network and past board member at the Silk Road Institute, she has had an extensive career supporting initiatives to counter hate and promote inclusion. She currently leads strategic communications and campaigns at the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and is a member of the National Security Transparency Advisory Group.”
However, the Liberal government neglected to mention a few things.
For one, Elghabawby said this about Quebeckers:
“Unfortunately, the majority of Quebecers seem influenced not by the rule of law, but by anti-Muslim sentiment.”
That’s not all.
As noted by Blacklock’s, Elghawaby slammed the Queen and opposed Canada Day:
“A Toronto Star writer who advocated deposing the Queen as racist and opposed Canada Day as a celebration of “European, Judeo-Christian storytelling” yesterday was named Special Representative on Combating Islamophobia. Cabinet aides would not comment on the writings of activist Amira Elghawaby: “Time to wake up.””
Now, even a Liberal cabinet minister from Quebec is demanding she withdraw her comments on Quebec:
“Québécois « antimusulmans » : les déclarations passés de la représentante spéciale de la lutte contre l’islamophobie du gouvernement Trudeau, Amira Elghawaby, font réagir (d’abord rapportés par
@LP_LaPresse). En colère, @pablorodriguez demande qu’elle retire ses paroles. #polcanTranslation:

And in a new video, CPC Leader Pierre Poilievre slammed Trudeau’s move:
“Trudeau again chooses to divide Canadians by appointing someone who has made anti-Quebec, anti-Jewish, and anti-police remarks.
He must appoint someone who can unite all of us in the fight against racism and Islamophobia.”

Poilievre is correct.
At this point, Trudeau seems addicted to dividing Canadians.
In the absence of actual achievements or positive results, Trudeau now spreads lies and tries to turn Canadians against each other.
With his appointment of people like Elghawaby and people like Steven Guilbeault (both of whom fit most on the far-left of the NDP rather than the once-moderate Liberals), Trudeau keeps shifting the Liberals in a more and more extreme direction, leading to more and more damage and division in the country.
